PT Alam Energy Indonesia (“AEI”), together with its shareholders Kanematsu Corporation (“Kanematsu”), Alamport Inc. (“Alamport”) and Shizen Energy Inc. (“Shizen Energy”), and PT SOMA DAYA UTAMA (“SOMA”), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for a comprehensive decarbonization project on Karimun Island, Indonesia, including the introduction of renewable energy and energy-saving measures, at the 4th Asia Zero Emission Community (AZEC) MoU Signing Ceremony (*1), held in Manila, the Philippines, on October 8, 2026.

AEI and SOMA will lead and mutually collaborate in the implementation of this project. AEI operates decarbonization and sustainability solution businesses in Indonesia, including a rooftop solar power rental business with a total capacity of approximately 40 MW. Through this project, AEI will extend the expertise in renewable energy deployment it has built up to date to regional mini-grids on islands in Indonesia. Leveraging the expertise and networks of its shareholders, AEI will continue to provide decarbonization solutions to customers and local communities in Indonesia, thereby contributing to the achievement of the country’s Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) targets and the realization of a sustainable society.
